Chris has extensive knowledge of Spey casting equipment and techniques, using both single and double-handed rods - the workshop will cover a range of spey casting topics including:
The history & benefits of Spey casting
Why and where to use Spey casts
Equipment selection
A wide range of Spey casts will be covered throughout the workshop starting with the original Spey casts moving through to the more modern day Spey casts of today
At the end of the workshop, you will have the opportunity to fish for the remainder of the day on the outstanding Peacock water, which is usually only accessible to members or if you stay at the hotel overnight.
This course is ideal for single handed rods, trout Spey and short switch rods* Unfortunately the river is not wide enough for longer double handed rods but Chris insists the mechanics of the cast are the same using a switch rod or a double handed rod so the course is beneficial to anyone wanting to learn the art of spey casting
